Kawasaki's
Disease:
"In the summer of 2002, our four year old granddaughter
was diagnosed with a rare disease called Kawasaki's Disease.
This disease is an inflammation of the blood vessels. It occurs
only in children under five and the cause is unknown. It is
treatable and usually after ten days the child is on the road
to recovery. There are cases, however, where children have
died or had long term disability.
After a week in Kelowna General Hospital and ten days in Vancouver's
Childrens' Hospital, our granddaughter came home with several
temporary after-effects of the disease. One was weakness in
the legs, the other was peeling of all skin on the palms of
the hands and fingers as well as soles of the feet. This is
not painful, but very uncomfortable and disturbing to a four
year old.
While visiting the Kelowna Farmers' Market, we found your
stall selling Emu Oil. I must say, it was out of desperation
that we tried one of your products to ease the discomfort
of our granddaughter. The hospitals had no suggestions and
everything else we had tried was not working.
Your "Emu Oil with Vitamin E" was the answer. Daily,
we cut away the dried skin on her hands and feet and applied
the emu oil. We immediately noticed a difference in the peeled
areas and more rapid healing was obvious. The affected areas
were more comfortable and our granddaughter began to ask for
the oil to be applied.
Because her legs were so weak and tender and she could barely
walk, we also began to rub her legs several times a day with
the emu oil. She seemed to relax and the condition of her
legs visibly improved in a short time. Within several days
she could push herself up from the floor without assistance
and in a few more days, climb the stairs by herself.
Our family cannot say enough about the healing and soothing
benefits of emu oil. Now in 2003, we have a happy healthy
granddaughter."
